Teachers are not just educators; they are mentors, guides and champions of knowledge and personal growth. Their dedication and contributions to individuals and communities make them truly deserving of celebration and recognition.

While many people humorously believe that "a teacher's reward is in heaven", at YES Microfinance Bank, we believe that every teacher deserves recognition and celebration. So in commemoration of this year's World Teachers' Day (Thursday, 5th October 2023), 10 exceptional teachers WHO RECEIVE THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF VOTES will each be rewarded with the sum of ₦30,000 (thirty thousand Naira), in recognition of their profound impact on individuals and society. (VOTING IN THIS PROMO RUNS UNTIL FRIDAY, 27TH OCTOBER 2023). .

CRITERIA TO BE A WINNING TEACHER WITH YESBANK

  • 1. Must be an outstanding and passionate teacher dedicated to excellence and impact.
  • 2. Must be a school teacher in the same full-fledged government registered public or private nursery, primary, or secondary school for at least 12 months.
  • 3. Must be teaching/residing in Lagos State (or Ifo LGA and Ado-Ota LGA of Ogun State).
  • 4. Must have a valid birth certificate/sworn affidavit of age
  • 5. Must have a valid Nigerian ID (Permanent Voters’ Card, International Passport, National ID Card, Driver’s License etc)
  • 6. Must have valid academic credentials/certificates
  • 7. Must be ready to provide employment letter from current school/educational institution
  • 8. Must have a personal YesBank Mobile app referral code
  • 9. Must have at least 20 registered votes from a YesBank Mobile app referral code.
  • 10. The 10 teachers with the highest number of votes will each win the cash prize, so the higher number of votes a teacher gets, the higher his or her chances of winning

TIEBREAKERS
The 10 Teachers with the above criteria and the highest number of votes from the YES Microfinance Mobile app referral code will win a cash prize of N30,000. However, if two or more teachers have the same number of votes and there is a need to select a winner, below are the three tiebreakers to be used.
  • 1. The teacher with a TRCN Certificate will be preferred.
  • 2. The teacher with the higher number of years of experience in the same institution will be preferred.
  • 3. The first person to get 20 registered votes will be preferred.

HOW TO BE NOMINATED AS A WINNING TEACHER

  • 1. Download our mobile App to get a referral code
  • 2. Fill the teacher’s form
  • 3. Get at least 20 people (other than yourself) to download our mobile app and vote for you.
  • 4. The 10 most qualified teachers with the highest number of votes will win a cash prize of N30,000 (thirty thousand Naira), so the more votes a teacher has, the higher his or her chances of winning.
